Today we look at the fourth of seven sermons based on the first nine chapters of the Book of Acts. Chapter 5 of the Book of Acts tell about the problems in the early church and how they worked through those problems.
As we continue our journey through the book of Acts, we look at the story of Ananias and Sapphire and their affect on the early church, as well as the results of Peter preaching the gospel. From this couple’s behavior, their attitudes and their resulting deaths, we learn that we should always be honest about ourselves and about what we’re doing. Second, from the religious leaders’ behavior, we learn that we should be thoughtful and patient when making decisions. Our behaviors and our decisions have far-reaching affects on those around us, and on ourselves as well. Therefore, it is of greatest importance that we ALWAYS act in a way that keeps Jesus Christ at the center of all we do.
We hope you will continue to join us as we finish our 7-week journey through the book of Acts and see how the Holy Spirit is at work, even today.
