Pam Howard has had connections with First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth (FPCP) since her family moved from Ohio to Plymouth in the 1960’s. They joined FPCP and attended church, Sunday School, Youth Fellowship programs, and retreats. Pam’s mother, Ann, was a Deacon, and her good friend, Jane, was the Fellowship

Program Director. Pam and her husband were married in the Sanctuary and were youth advisors for the Junior High Fellowship program in the 1970’s.

Pam attended both Northern and Eastern Michigan Universities studying Conservation/Geography and eventually graduated with a Consumer Affairs and Finance degree with an Interior Design major – a very useful combination. Pam’s working career started at Michigan Bell Telephone then at AT&T in various positions. Pam was among many who were recruited to the University of Michigan (U of M) when they started their own telephone company.  She worked in many different departments at U of M during her 32 years, eventually retiring from the Pathology Department. Pam was the Residency Administrator for 28 great residents – it was the most demanding position she ever have had but also the most rewarding and she keeps in touch with many of her residents and fellows.

Pam now works part-time coordinating the FPCP calendar and working on special projects. She also keeps busy with her picture framing business, organizing, sewing, planning events and parties, meal planning and cooking for various people, catering, bookbinding, and calligraphy.
