Today, our summer series — “Summer in the Psalms” — continues with Psalm 133, a Psalm of Ascent.  Psalm 133 is one of several psalms that were sung by pilgrims as they travelled to Jerusalem for various religious services.  These psalms, sung to encourage each another during the journey, helped to keep them moving and keep their focus on God. The community of support shown in this psalm is one example of how unity of purpose and a sense of community can draw people together.  Even today, we are blessed by God’s spirit working in our midst as we pray, support, encourage and love one another.

We look forward to continuing to share the uplifting messages of hope and inspiration found in the Psalms throughout the remainder of the summer.
