Running on Empty? - Upper Room | First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth

Are you running on empty?  These days, we work hard and push ourselves to meet so many demands that we often don’t give ourselves time to refill our physical or spiritual gas tanks.  And what happens?  We physically and emotionally run out of gas.  We no longer have the energy, the desire, and even the actual ability to keep going.  Psalm 19 shows us three ways we can refuel to get our lives back on track — through taking the time to see and appreciate the beauty of nature, through revisiting God’s word in our lives, and through confession – humbling ourselves before God and asking for forgiveness and direction.  When we refresh ourselves in God’s presence, we can recharge and refuel both our minds and our bodies.

Based on Galatians 5:22-26 and Psalm 19.
