Grateful Together - Sanctuary | First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth

As we approach Thanksgiving, we look at ways to be grateful for what we have.  We have been blessed in so many ways, even if we don’t realize it.  We are thankful for our lives here in Plymouth and the surrounding communities, but we can still learn from the example of the Samaritan woman that Jesus met at the well on a hot day.  Jesus was welcoming, compassionate and encouraging to this ‘unclean’ woman, acknowledging her when no one else would, telling her about the Living Water, and proclaiming himself the Messiah to her.  In gratitude and in joy, the woman ran and shared the good news of the Messiah with all she saw, bringing many people to hear Jesus and believe.  We give thanks that, through Jesus Christ, that God offers us grace, and that He loves us, no matter what we’ve done, and no matter how others see us.  What will you do with that grace?

Based on John 4:4-26.
