As summer comes to an end, our summer sermon series Summer in the Psalms also wraps us this week.   It has been our hope and prayer that this sermon series has served as an encouragement to you as we remember together that the God whom we worship is entirely faithful and can be trusted with our every emotion and experience in life.  For a full summary of the Psalms we studied this summer, as well as some additional suggestions of Psalms that may be of use and comfort to you, see Rev. Campbell’s Wednesday Devotional page for the message dated Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Psalm 121, another of the songs of Ascents, was written to offer encouragement to us during times of trials and difficulties, such as those we are facing today.  It offers us comfort and the knowledge that God is watching our going out and our coming in, no matter the time of day, the time of the year, of the challenges we face.  And it offers us the assurance that, when it is time to go to our heavenly home, God and his multitudes will be there to celebrate and welcome us home.

Next Sunday, September 13th, we will begin a new series entitled “Life Together.”  In addition, we will celebrate a very special milestone – the 70th Anniversary of the Presbyterian Thrift Shop – by bringing our service to you from the Thrift Shop.  We hope you will join us for a tour through this wonderful shop, and a celebration of 70 years of service to Plymouth and the surrounding communities, and of support to FPCP’s mission programs.
