Founded in 1972, the Fifth Season chose its name as a reference to the “season of the heart.”
During its fifty-year ministry of performing sacred music, the ensemble has performed for many area churches, civic and community events. In the early 1980’s, they were highlighted in the “Music Detroit” conferences. The group has produced three compact discs including “With All My Heart” and “The Season of Love.”

Sharon Smith has been the director/accompanist for the Fifth Season for the past thirty-four years. She attended Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee as a piano major. As an active church musician, Sharon has served as staff pianist, organist and accompanist for area churches her entire career.

On this day of their final performance, we thank the Fifth Season Ensemble for 50 years of beautiful music, all sung for the glory of God.
