Today is the final sermon based on the book of Habakkuk. This week, we are looking at the prophet Habakkuk’s choices in the face of events that are outside of his control.
Many significant figures in the Bible, when facing uncertain circumstances, choose to face them with an attitude of joy. Joy, even today, is often elusive, but is something that we should always pursue. Yet in today’s world, we find holding on to joy is just as difficult as it was in Habakkuk’s day. In the third chapter of the book of Habakkuk, we find the guidance needed to approach and deal with the unexpected storms in life. This chapter provides us with a God-given framework for how to handle life’s upheavals.
