In the Sanctuary, we recognized our graduates on Baccalaureate Sunday. In the Upper Room, Josh Imboden, Youth Director, shared the same message, which is appropriate for all of us, on the importance of choosing to be part of ‘God’s Intertwining Story.’ Josh pointed out that each of our lives tell a story, one that intertwines and interacts with many others as we get older. Right from the beginning, we have the choice to make it our story alone (is it really all about ME?) or to allow our stories to intertwine with God’s larger story. The question we must ask ourselves is, do we want to be a part of God’s storyline? If we look at our own personal stories, they may seem small, even insignificant. But if we combine our personal stories with God’s bigger story, we can see how our stories begin to intertwine with His. When we follow Jesus, our lives become part of God’s story.
