Today, we started a new series for the fall entitled ‘Falling Into the Psalms. Our first look was at chapter Psalm 27 – ‘The LORD is my light, and my salvation–whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid?’ Darkness is actually the absence of light. It’s barren and void, like the absolute darkness found inside a deep cave. Darkness is also the absence of God or Jesus in our lives, bringing darkness into our souls, lives, and hearts. When we turn away from the light that isJesus, we are embracing this darkness. But the light is always there, and we simply need to turn back to the light, letting it shine on us, and allowing it to become our salvation.
Based on Psalm 27.
