On the 2nd Sunday in Advent, we heard from seminary student and FPCP member Rich Rej speak on the subject of Faith as it relates to Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus.  Joseph was what we would consider today to be a great guy: a just man, a skilled and honest craftsman, a solid citizen, a man well-versed in the law of the day, and a loving soon-to-be husband.  Then into this man’s ordered and happy life came news that he couldn’t ignore. His wife-to-be was expecting a baby, and the baby wasn’t his.  Suddenly, Joseph’s life was thrown into great turmoil.  And yet, despite the anxiety, anger and pain he must have felt upon hearing this news, Joseph reacted in humble obedience and faith, believing in God’s plan.  This is Joseph’s story of faith.

Based on Matthew 1:18-25.
