Confirmation Class, now known as Launch, is designed to help 8th graders explore their faith journey and prepare to become members of FPCP. Students learn what it means to live life as a Christian and a Presbyterian. The class culminates in the students deciding if they are ready to publicly commit to pursuing a life following Christ, becoming involved in the mission activities and other areas as an adult member of the church. In addition to classes that feature studies, speakers and discussions, the students will also occasionally sit in on either the Sanctuary or the Upper Room Services to experience different worship styles and events.  For more information about the Confirmation Class, please refer to the Confirmation Class Brochure.

Where do I pick up my 8th Grader after church?

8th graders in the Confirmation Class are released independently at the end of class, however parents may wait for their 8th grader to be released, if preferred. If you need assistance locating your child’s classroom, you may ask any Sunday School teacher, the Deacons of the Day, or refer to the Church building map.

Does my family need to belong to the First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth to participate in the Confirmation Class?
