For over 10 years FPCP has participated in Operation Christmas Child through the packing of Shoebox Christmas Gifts for underserved children around the world. National/International Mission is once again sponsoring this program. The shoebox’s reach children in over 100 countries and are given to children regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or faith. Through this sharing of Christ’s love, their lives can be changed. Operation Christmas Child recently sent us a video testimonial from a young woman who received a shoebox gift. This 3-minute video is a powerful reminder of how we can help God in his work.
To participate in this ministry, simply follow these steps:
- You can pick-up a shoebox from the church parking lot on 3 different dates. Volunteers
will be available on Friday, October 23rd , Saturday, October 24th and Friday, October 30th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. You will be able to drive up and the box(es) will be given to you.
- Each shoebox has instructions on what to purchase and how to fill the box.
- Once packed, you can drop the box back off at church on our collection days. The
boxes will be collected in the parking lot on Saturday, November 7th and Friday, November 13th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- You can also participate through building a shoebox online. Just follow the link to create a touch-less shoebox.
We hope you will watch the video testimony and then be called to help share God’s love and grace with children around our world.
