Help Feed Children with “Cereal for Summer”
As you may recall, over the past several summers the Local Mission and Worship committees partnered for a cereal collection drive. We tied this to our communion worship service and the ‘bread of life,” with our goal of spreading the love of Christ by feeding the hungry. “For I was hungry and you gave me food….” Matthew 25:35.
Although we are currently unable to gather together for worship and communion, we recognize the need to feed God’s children. Children who rely on free or reduced-priced breakfast at school often go without enough to eat during the summer months. Since schools have been closed for many months due to COVID 19, we can only imagine the need to feed children has grown exponentially. Here is our chance to help food insecure families with a simple donation of a box of cereal.
Our collection will go to Hope Clinic. Let’s do our part to help!
We plan to do a drop off at FPCP on Friday, June 26, 2020 from 10 am to 2 pm. Volunteers will be on hand to remove items from your vehicle so it will not be necessary for you to leave your car if you chose not to. We will ensure that all donations are transported to Hope Clinic.
Feel free to contact Kim Heldmeyer 353-9921, Teri Stonerook 454-7591 or Sandy Dodge 459-6995 if you have any questions.
Thank you so very much for supporting this ministry!!
